The Second Matsuo Lab
A research lab based on a new concept will be established at ZEN University in collaboration with Professor Yutaka Matsuo, a leading AI researcher from the University of Tokyo. As the world changes dramatically with AI, simply learning about AI is not enough. The goal is to use AI as an actual "weapon.“
* In collaboration with ZEN University faculty members, a new laboratory that follows the structure and philosophy of AI education in the Matsuo Laboratory will be established within ZEN University. This lab will be a separate entity from the University of Tokyo Matsuo Laboratory.
Special Invited Professor at ZEN University
Yutaka Matsuo
Professor at the School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo. An artificial intelligence scholar, his research themes include artificial intelligence, deep learning, and web/big data. He also serves as the Chairman of the Japan Deep Learning Association. Since 2021, he has been a member of the Council of New Form of Capitalism Realization. His major works include Will AI Surpass Humans? Beyond Deep Learning(KADOKAWA).
The name ZEN University (tentative) and job titles mentioned are all planned.
